Interior decorating for luxury living in Cancun, Mexico. Michele Williams, a native of Atlanta, Georgia, has been living in Cancun with her husband since 1999. Michele worked eight years for a luxury property developer in Atlanta as a director for the management company. There she learned how to utilize small spaces in new construction homes as well as assist in the décor setup of the model homes and offices. She also discovered her love for architectural re-design of spaces and interior decorating.
Once she moved to Cancun and discovered that the living style wasn’t as comfortable as home, she began her first project. They bought their first home and began reconstruction. The idea was to create an illusion of a much larger space by using and open concept style. Once the construction was complete, she then designed most of her furniture and decorated her home. By using oversized furniture she combined contemporary and luxury décor to get that casual comfortable style. This captured that true, warm and inviting atmosphere that she was missing. Her style caught the attention of many of her friends and people around her. Michele likes to use oversized, overstuffed furniture, layers of beautiful fabric, and toned down paint colors to achieve that relaxed, cozy but elegant space.
Michele also enjoys exploring other styles as well. Due to Cancun’s growth of new modern construction in both high-rise condos and townhomes, sometimes the décor calls for a more modern clean-line style.
Each space will be custom tailored to the clients taste and budget. The overall design for each project will have the same results, a harmonious living space with a timeless appeal.
